Oakley Five Review

Oakley Five

by primux on

Oakley finally made some glasses that I think look really good. I love Oakley Five sunglasses! I have had all 3 versions of the Oakley Five (Oakley Five 2.0, Oakley Five 3.0 and Oakley Five squared). I must admit that these took some getting used to for me because the older Oakley Five version was a bit more round. I love the square look and I guess everyone is also moving to that too right now.
I love my Oakley Five 3.0 better than my other Oakley Five. These are by far the best pair of Oakley Five sunglasses I’ve owned. Oakley Five 3.0 is really light; I can even hardly tell that it is on my face. It is comfortable, has a very rigid frame, do not leave unsightly nose indentions and fits perfectly on my thin face. I usually have trouble finding the right pair of sunglasses for me because of my thin face but with Oakley Five, I don’t have any problem with it. My eyes are fully covered and there is no distortion that you get with other glasses. It blocks out the sun very well and best of all it looks great. I really like the polarized lens, there is a noticeable difference with clarity. Like other Oakley’s that I’ve owned, when cleaning them use the microfiber cloth that goes together with the Oakley item and not just any type of fabric or else you’ll get your lens scratched.

Oakley Five 3.0 doesn’t have a rubberized stuff on the ear pieces, so if your head is shaking around violently like a mad man, it might come off. I don’t also recommend this if you wear it during workout sessions, running, biking, or while competing because they tend to slip off and could become more annoying than anything.
I always wear these pair of Oakley Five sunglasses when I drive around town. I’ve found out that when wearing while riding, the side frames obstruct peripheral vision, and distract when I am trying to look behind me. I would recommend these, if you just want something to look cool, but not if you want to be really active with them. I get plenty of compliments when I wear these sunglasses. They are stylish with the square frames, but not too trendy or whatever. These lenses are really dark, so if you’re looking to use them in low light situations, which I don’t know why you would be looking for sunglasses for that situation anyways, don’t get them.

Here is what I think of Oakley Five 3.0 Sunglasses:
